While I have used some of the various sentiments from the Tasteful Touches stamp set several times, I had yet to use any of the other images. So I decided that I needed to right that wrong.
I started by stamping the flower on a piece of white card stock with Rococo Rose ink. To get the two ink colors, I used a blender pen to pick up the ink from the flower center directly from the stamp before stamping and used a Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the center before stamping on the card stock. I then cut it out with my paper snips. I used the blender pen to lightly color in the petals with some Rococo Rose ink.
I sponged some Balmy Blue ink on a rectangular piece of white card stock and then stamped the leaves with Old Olive ink and lightly colored them in with a blender pen as well. Some Rococo Rose ink splatters were added before embossing the sentiment with black embossing powder. I roughed up the edges a little, which is a touch I hadn’t done in a long time.
I added some subtle stamping around two of the corners and a little strip of ribbon at the bottom for a little more color and texture. Rococo Rose is a color I haven’t used much, but it truly is a lovely color.

It’s time for a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is the lovely and talented Linda Callahan, our friend from upstate New York. She has something new for us — a slimline card. Take a peek:
The sentiment is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set and was stamped with Memento Black ink. My card measures 3-1/2″ X 8-1/2″.
This is the first slimline card I’ve ever made and it was fun to make something new and different.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
One of the first weekly challenge sites I stumbled across way back when was The Paper Players site. And this week they are celebrating their 500th challenge. WOW!! That’s a lot of inspiration! They have a fabulous design team full of wonderful stampers and some of the nicest people. I really wanted to play along with this special challenge.
I still had the Playing with Patterns dsp on my workspace and that seems like such a celebratory pack of paper, so that was my starting point. When I was looking through my stamp sets and saw that the Monogram Messages set has a Celebrate stamp, I knew just what to use.
I started by stamping the balloons with Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, and Coastal Cabana inks on a square of white card stock. I then stamped the sentiment with Crushed Curry and Night of Navy inks. The “C” was stamped with Calypso Coral ink and cut out with my paper snips. I added some sequins from my stash and a piece of white baker’s twine. This was an easy and quick one!
Enjoy your Friday! Thanks for stopping by!

It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and this week our talented friend, Jen Mitchell, is our hostess. Take a look at her fun sketch:
I’ll have to admit those little baby circles in the sketch threw me for a loop. I had no idea what to do with them. Then I decided that I needed to make a birthday card for this weekend, so I would start with that. When I looked at my stamp sets, I decided to use the Pattern Play set, which I hadn’t inked up yet. And lo and behold, there was a stamp with little semi-circles/scallops that I thought would be perfect. I love it when that happens!
The designer series paper from the Playing with Patterns pack is really the star of the show on this card. I love the fun colors and the diagonal stripes. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a circle die. A slightly larger circle was cut out of Night of Navy card stock as well. The scallops were stamped with Calypso Coral ink on Calypso Coral card stock and cut out with my paper snips. I then stamped the sequins/confetti with Crushed Curry ink.
A little white baker’s twine bow was added as an embellishment.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop! We are a group of stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.
Since I still had the Basket of Blooms stamp set on my desk from my previous post, I thought I’d play with it some more and use one of the other stamps, the basket. I also wanted to play with one of the new In Colors, Bumblebee.
I started by stamping the basket and three of the blooms and stems of leaves on some whisper white card stock and then colored them with my markers. I then punched out the flowers with the Small Bloom Punch and cut out the rest with my paper snips.
One of the dies from Nature’s Thoughts was used to cut out the rectangle with the pretty edging. I love this detail! I then arranged the basket of flowers and adhered them down with some Mono Multi Liquid Glue and small dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Forever Fern stamp set. The sequins are from a recent Paper Pumpkin kit.
I sponged some Bumblebee ink on the card base focusing on the bottom left corner to balance the card since the blooms are on the right side. I added some splatters as well.

These Summer weeks are flying by and it’s already time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our very talented friend, Jennifer Timko, is our hostess. Take a look at the fabulous sketch she has provided us:
Wanting to play with a stamp set that I hadn’t inked up yet, I reached for the Basket of Blooms set, which I thought would work perfectly with this sketch.
I started by sponging on some Balmy Blue and Sahara Sand inks onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I then stamped the leaf images from the stamp set and colored them with my markers.
The blooms and flower pot were stamped on a piece of white card stock and cut out with paper snips and the red blooms coordinate with the Small Bloom Punch. The sentiment is from the Monogram Messages stamp set.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

It’s time for a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our very talented friend, Lee Ann Barrett, is our hostess. Take a look at this fun sketch:
When I first saw this sketch, I thought it would be a great one to use some designer series paper. So I turned to my favorite pack, Playful Patterns, and found a piece that I love. Cutting it out and matting it on pieces of Purple Posy was the hard part. I’ll admit it took a few tries to get everything right — or at least right enough that my sentiment could cover the tips that didn’t line up quite right. ha!
I used the super fun Playful Alphabet dies to make the sentiment from pieces of card stock that coordinate with the dsp. The letters were placed on a label cut using a die from the Tasteful Labels dies. I love the embossed edges on this die. The “Sending You” part of the sentiment is from the A Wish for Everything stamp set. Some little resin dots were added as accents to balance out the card.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
One of the first sets to go into my shopping card when I placed my first order from the new catalog was the Forever Fern bundle. However, I was seeing so many pretty cards made with the set that I was a little too intimidated to use it. I finally decided to play with it, and I love it! These stamps are so pretty with their beautiful detail.
I started by stamping a bunch of the leaves using Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam inks. I used Mango Melody ink to stamp one type of the leaves and I love the pop of color it provides on the card. I adore this color!! It makes me happy and it works with so many other colors.
The sentiment is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set and was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. It was cut out using a die from the Tasteful Labels dies.

It’s a new week in the Freshly Made Sketches land and that means it’s time for a new sketch. Our hostess this week is the very talented Jacquie Southas and she has a great one for us. I love sketches that contain a collage! Take a look:
My dad’s birthday is on the 4th of July. I always thought that was so cool! He gets fireworks and family barbecues every year to celebrate his birthday. Except for this year — no big gatherings during Coronavirus. I decided to use the sketch for his birthday card, and since masculine cards are always such a challenge for me, I was thankful to get to use the 4th of July theme for his card.
I started the card by cutting out three stars from Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight and Whisper White card stock using the Stitched Stars dies for the focal images in the collage. I placed them on a card base that was sponged with some Balmy Blue ink and stamped with an old stamp set that was the closest thing to fireworks that I have.
The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin stamp set and I added some little stars from the Snowflake Sequins collection.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
It’s time for another new sketch over at vp下载苹果, and this week our hostess is the lovely Judy Rozema. Take a look at this fun sketch:
I still had my Playing with Patterns dsp on my desk and the other half of a piece of Purple Posy card stock from my previous card making experience, and when I saw this sketch I immediately had a vision of what I wanted to do with it. Since that seldom happens, I decided to run with it.
Using a Night of Navy ink pad, I stamped the H from the Monogram Messages stamp set and cut it out with my paper snips. I then stamped the remainder of the sentiment on some white paper scraps and cut them out. I used the Layering Circles dies to cut out the two circle shapes and stamped the two balloons using Crushed Curry ink that had been stamped off twice and drew the strings with a Purple Posy marker.
This piece of dsp is one of my favorites from this pack. And I am really loving this color combo.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! Meanwhile be sure to stop by the vpn下 site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
